I like to ask questions and tell stories in all manner of media: television, radio, online publications, social media.
My day job is as a newscast producer for WPRI-TV/WNAC-TV in Providence, Rhode Island (most days, for the Monday-Friday 12:00 pm newscast) and writing stories for the station website, WPRI.com.
I’ve also worked in Hartford, Connecticut. Other experience from the past includes internships at commercial television stations in Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Oregon, and volunteer work with public television and public radio.
Besides writing about other people, I’m a media buff, with a special interest in international media — how the U.S. compares to other countries — and a frequent trivia hound. I love to travel, and would love to get paid for it! I’ve also produced and written satire and comedy.
I’m one of those Emerson College people, as well as a graduate of the Catlin Gabel School in Portland, Oregon. I grew up in Beaverton, a suburb outside Portland, Oregon. I am a member of NLGJA, the Association of LGBTQ Journalists.
